EDITOR'S PICK on CD BABY! These are the lullabies I sing to my kids, written for them and with them, filled with love.

My husband and I both sang "Oh Baby Oh Baby Oh" in the middle of the night, when the babies were new to us and the world, when we were rocking them and hoping upon hope that they would go back to sleep. We still sing it, at least once, most every night. It's in a good key for dads (or grandpas, uncles and big brothers) to sing.

"Just Snuggle In" I sang to my tiny daughter and my little son, as they were nursing, and "La Lullaby" was the first song I wrote on my guitar with them, in between their curious plucks and plinks of the strings. "A Sleepy Song" is an attempt at using the power of suggestion to will them to please, please, please go to sleep. And "Baby Grace" was one of the first songs I ever wrote, many, many years before I had my own children, but now, to the delight of my heart and soul, my silly son asks for it almost every night... "sing baby gace again."

I am so very grateful to the folks who have helped me put these songs together!

Kelli Welli is a silly name... Yes, it is! One of the most important people in my life used to call me "Kelli Welli"... so what better name to take as I launch my first Children's EP, to be followed soon by a full album. With the help of Tim Uecker and Gabe Johnston, along with my dad, Will Caldwell, and several of my good friends, we're also working on groups of love songs, animals songs, and more... It's so fun!

I am the lucky mom of twin toddlers, a little boy and a little girl. I love to write songs and stories about all kinds of things, but especially with and for my kiddos. Together, we are working on our guitar, drum, cowbell, slide whistle, kazoo, harmonica, and shaker egg skills. We love to read together, look at and talk about beautiful, fun, and especially funny pictures.

I have been writing songs and stories for a long time--you can find more at my Kelli Caldwell - Songwriter site--but some of my first songs were kids' songs, written long before I had kids of my own. I love kids. I believe in kids. I can't think of better people to hang out with and sing with and love and laugh with.
