about

Sing or hum along with this sweet counting song celebrating nature in the spring time! I wrote this song during the spring, when I was pregnant with my twins, after seeing two little squirrels running through the park. Also released as a single - April 2016.

lyrics

One fine day, I took a walk
And this is what I saw…

Two baby squirrels
Running round in a circle
Bushy tailed, playing games
It’s a springtime morning

Three baby birds
With their mouths open wide
Mama’s just in sight
Flying high in the sunlight

Four baby turtles
Blowing bubbles in the water

Five baby duckies
Leaving ripples on the pond

And there were six baby rabbits
Making mischief in the new, green grass
Doing a springtime dance

La la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la la la

After seven rain showers
I took a walk
And this is what I spied…

Eight daffodils
Popping out of the ground
Reaching up the sky
Waking up for the springtime

Nine little daisies
Faces following the light
What a sweet and silly sight
Soft and white in the daylight

Ten lovely tulips
Painted colors of the rainbow

Eleven lady slippers
Looking delicate as glass

And there were twelve baby ferns
Uncurling as a breeze tickled past
Part of the springtime dance

La la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la la la
Dance with me
La la la la la la la
In the springtime
La la la la la la la
